Yonghwa, as bachelor as ever, keeps his abode simple. Well... simple for a draconian. He's collected many items over the years, some very treasured, and he keeps them on display. Many of them hold a historical or home based significance for him, and he guards and honors them fervently. While he seems rather rough around the edges, his priority is delicate items of artistic format. He keeps his space meticulously clean, and is very cautious with who he welcomes into his space. You will be watched very closely when you come to visit.

Car

Yonghwa purchased this car in the Summer of 1991, and had it shipped back to Seoul. He used most of his savings at the time to do this. Much like his home, Yonghwa is very specific about the upkeep of his car. It never misses maintenance, and in fact, he will take a whole day off of work to make sure it's done. He is a great mechanic and knows his way around all of the working parts of his vehicle and then some. He works on it often, always improving, and sometimes uses this as a way to relax.

The Story

Seoli's family was a prominent, at the time, fire Draconian family that ruled over many lands in ancient Seoul. During this time, the land was called Wiryeseong by those who lived there.He had two loving parents and an older brother by 6 years when he was welcomed into the world as an anomoly. The only ice dragon from his lineage, he stood out like a sore thumb but was loved all the same. His parents were warned all the time that nothing good would come from allowing him to live, but they were strong in their belief that he was a soul that deserved to shine.And shine he did. In his youth Seoli was a bright white dragon surrounded by rusts and reds and ambers and blacks. He drew others in with his charm, his charisma, and his knack for understanding life and the world around him. At one time in his life, he was loud, playful, ambitious even. It was often heard said about Seoli that not even the darkest of clouds could dampen his moods.When they were still young dragons, a Dark Mage approached them with an offer to work together to keep the lands safe. This occasionally meant that they provided scales and other dragon essences for her work as a mage. She shares a vision she had regarding Seoli at his birth, and the promise of change.Due to their connection with the mage, Seoli and his brother, Bul, work with the local mortals to create balance and leadership. They are tasked with fending off enemies when they try to take the land they call home, and to assist the people of the kingdom as well as they could. As time passes, people began to fear the dragons far less, and considered them fondly as an owner to a pet might. However, it is time for them to return home, and Seoli and Bul politely request that they go back to be with their family. The new King honors their promises, and allows them to return peacefully after their service to him.Seoli and Bul are accepted back into their own dragon realm with pride, joy, and quickly return to their normal lives. They reconnect with friends, build new connections, and grow into fine young dragons. There are many years of peace after this, though as Seoli comes to find out, peace never lasts. The mage returns, greedy and power hungry. She had long since become less of a need for the royal family, and it left a sour taste in her mouth. Wanting to reclaim glory and power, she begins to form a plan. The king will never allow them to exist if they feel the dragons are a threat. To do this, she begins terrorizing Seoli in his sleep.He has dreams and visions, horrible images in his head, of the destruction of his family and home. When he shares these worries with his family, he is dismissed kindly, and asked to focus on important matters. The darkness creeps in more, and he loses control of his powers just days before the mage appears again, casting a snowfall over their kingdom.This makes it very hard for his family to be okay, but when the mage returns, she forces her way into Seoli's mind, and uses his powers to kill and destroy his entire family. He is helpless to her power, and watches as one by one they succumb to the cold and sharp ice. She keeps control of him, and drags him away, forcing him to go to the current king for his judgement.Between the trickery of the mage and the King's fear of Seoli's abilities, it is agreed that he must be reduced to the form of a man, unable to wield the power he held before. The transformation is painful enough, but plagued by the horrific memories and shame, Seoli is cast out, shunned by the people he once loved and protected, and chased into the wilderness.He has to rediscover himself in this strange form, some unfair mix of his old body and a human. He detests what he is, and considers very often perhaps if he should find a way to wither away and join his family. However, he never had the ability to do such a thing, pressing on as he believes his family would want him to do.He mourns the loss of his family, punishing himself, and wanders into the kingdom of China. It is here he is found out, taken as a slave, and forced into labor for the current ruler. The country quickly expands, and many people from all areas pass through. His service leads to him being purchased by Roman traders and taken back to Rome. Here, he is given a more lavish lifestyle, but at the cost of his sexual autonomy.The woman he lives with sexually abuses him while her husband is gone, enjoying his strange body in secret. When the husband discovers the affair, however, he sells Seoli off to a breeder for slaves. Due to his unwillingness and fragile state, he doesn't participate and is punished severely.An Academic passing one day sees him, takes interest, and purchases him. Here, he is tasked with research, invention, study, and organization. An apprentice this man has later sexually abuses him as well, for years. When it's discovered, the Academic releases Seoli, and helps him escape. He heads north to Norway, where he does have a long period of peace, but he is still plagued by the horrors of his past.It is here he begins to understand human nature, and comes to more peace with the form he is in. He learns caretaking skills, survival skills, and social expectations as a man. He is also allowed to practice fighting with the men here, many of them believing his superior strength to be the ultimate test of their metal. After a long while with the Norse people, he travels with them to the west, and settles among the native tribes and the wilderness. Here, he does a lot of soul and emotional repairing, but at the cost of being removed from general mankind.He lost track of how long he was wandering. When he emerges, man is quickly expanding still, claiming more of the wilderness for their establishments. He avoids war, multiple times, though he does not avoid capture. When the current government leaders realize he is a potential threat, they want to keep him to study him and force him into their bidding. He's saved by the supernatural movement to reclaim power from the mortals, however, and is once again free to roam. However, it comes with a price, as he is registered in the slave system to be purchased at a whim in exchange for this freedom.Seoli does not linger long, deciding he wants to continue to explore. There's much more to learn from the mortal world. New York is a curious, bustling place in which he learns many hard lessons, and begins to hone his skills in mechanic work and fighting. He travels more, farther, across country one state and territory at a time, until he settles into a bustling period in California. He learns vices, dark humor, and wicked ways. He begins professionally fighting, and this journey eventually lands him in Japan.Here, he decides to try to open up again, and finds love. Tomoko was a kind woman, with a beautiful smile and mind, and a caring heart. She could make anyone warm with a hug and a meal, and made him feel like he was home again. She would often nurse his wounds, and offer him a warm place to rest and recover. On a date, one night, he takes her out to a film, and dinner. On the way home, when he runs across an upset past opponent and their friends, they fight him, drug him, tie him up, beat him, and force him to watch the assault and eventual death of the woman he'd come to love. In his grief and fury, he shifts into his hybrid form for the first time, ripping the men apart, and scattering their remains. Realizing what he'd done, however, he fled, and never returned. Tomoko was avenged, but not properly buried, something he never truly allows himself peace over. He will forever blame himself.He goes to Seoul, where he hid, healed, and finally made some peace with himself before allowing himself back into the world. He worked as a mechanic, a musician, a bartender, a barista, and a fighter to create stability in his life. Still, he has a penchant for blood, and refuses to step out of the ring, it being one of the few places he finds solace. Now, he fights at the Viper Room, trying to make sense of the current life he has, and to allow himself to live once again.
